Interlayer options

  • Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB)
    Our PVB interlayers are available in 0.76 mm, 1.52 mm, and 2.28 mm clear variants. Additionally, we offer 1.14 mm and 1.9 mm translucent options. PVB interlayers offer good adhesion, sound insulation, and safety benefits, providing a cost-effective solution for applications where higher structural performance is not the primary requirement.
  • SentryGlas Plus (SGP)
    We offer SGP interlayers in 1.52 mm and 3.04 mm thicknesses providing exceptional strength and rigidity, making SGP Custom laminate panels suitable for applications that demand superior structural performance and edge stability.

What is a SGP interlayer?

SGP interlayer, stands out for its exceptional rigidity, surpassing standard laminates like PVB in terms of both strength and stiffness. With a remarkable strength that is approximately 5 times greater and stiffness that can be up to 100 times higher than regular laminates, SGP offers the pinnacle of structural performance and edge stability for a wide range of finished glass applications.

What is a PVB interlayer?

PVB is another type of interlayer with distinct structural properties compared to SGP. Unlike ordinary annealed or toughened glass, PVB laminated glass tends to hold together when shattered, providing added safety benefits. PVB is a cost-effective solution suitable for applications where higher structural performance is not a primary requirement.
